Aug. 14: Fiesta for Justice!!

FIESTA FOR JUSTICE!
A gourmet Mexican dinner party to benefit locked-out Castlewood workers
Saturday, August 14th
Doors/cocktails/appetizers at 5 pm
Dinner at 6:30
First Christian Church of Oakland, 111 Fairmount Ave.

On February 25th, Castlewood Country Club – a posh Pleasanton golf course – locked out its 61 cooks, servers, dishwashers, bartenders and janitors. Five months later, the workers are still locked out. They are fighting to return to work with a fair contract and affordable health care for their families. Workers are committed to staying in the struggle for as long as it takes to win – but they need help with food and rent to support their families while they are out of work and allow them to continue fighting.

Join us for a evening of food, drinks, and fun to benefit the Castlewood workers’ hardship fund. Featuring gourmet Mexican food prepared and served by the staff of Castlewood’s elegant restaurants – plus margaritas, sangria, music, a raffle, and a worker drum performance!

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
