WHEREAS, the unionized employees at the Castlewood Country Club have been
unionized for over 30 years and, since September 2009, the servers, banquet staff, cooks,
and janitors have been trying to negotiate affordable healthcare benefits, fair shift
schedules and job security; and
WHEREAS, the Castlewood Country Club has requested that the unionized employees of
the Club pay $739.00 a month health insurance premiums for family medical when the
workers make on average $12.50 an hour; and
